§ 57. Mr. Deedesasked the Minister of Health what action he has taken on the recommendation of the Brain Committee that the names of those addicted to dangerous drugs should be notified to a central authority and registered.
§ Mr. K. RobinsonA statutory duty to notify addicts, as recommended by the Committee, would require legislation; this has been discussed with representatives of the medical profession and is now being considered, along with other recommmendations by the Committee, in association with my right hon. Friends the Home Secretary and Secretary of State for Scotland.
