HC Deb 04 July 1966 vol 731 c4W
Mr. Geoffrey Lloyd

asked the Minister of Health to what extent, in assessing priorities for hospital building as set out in Command Paper No. 3000, he has been guided by estimates of manpower, both professional and non-professional, likely to be available.

Mr. K. Robinson

I would refer the right hon. Member to paragraphs 17 and 26–29 of the Command Paper. The availability of hospital staff is a general limiting factor and, while the priority of individual building projects is settled on the basis of medical needs, manpower considerations must be, and are being, taken into account in each case.
