§ Mr. Frederick LeeThe Exchequer paid £310 million in compensation for vested assets, other than mineral rights acquired from the Coal Commission, and a corresponding liability to the Exchequer was taken over by the National Coal Board. Except for a small sum tendered but not yet accepted, all previous owners have been compensated.
