§ Mr. John MorrisBritish Transport Stock of a nominal value of £927,313,593 was issued as full compensation to the owners of the railway undertakings—other than the London Passenger Transport Board—vested in the British Transport Commission under the provisions of the Transport Act, 1947. All previous owners have therefore been compensated, 137W though a small number have yet to claim the Stock certificates held by the Bank of England on their behalf.
