§ Mr. Martenasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies if he will publish a table showing how many children are receiving primary education in the island of Nevis, the names of the primary schools, the floor space of each school, how many classrooms there are in each school, how many classes there are in each school, and the teacher-pupil ratio; and if he will make a statement about future plans for primary education.
§ Mrs. WhiteThe number of children receiving primary education in Nevis is 3,994. These are divided among the following Schools:
31WNevis has a common Education Department with St. Kitts and Anguilla, and the proposals for the improvement of education in St. Kitts apply also to Nevis.
