§ Mr. Wallasked the Postmaster-General whether the proportion of mail from Rhodesia being opened or examined by the General Post Office has increased since the declaration of independence; and how many complaints he has received about letters or parcels from Rhodesia being opened.
§ Mr. BennAs I informed the hon. Gentleman in my reply to his Question on 16th February, we keep no statistics of the proportions of items examined. Letters and parcels from Rhodesia are opened here only for Customs purposes, and we have no record of any complaints being made to us on this score.
