HC Deb 21 February 1966 vol 725 c36W
Mr. Bishop

asked the Postmaster-General how many applicants are awaiting telephones in the county of Nottingham; what waiting time is likely; and if he will give details of the programme of work planned for the coming year.

Mr. Benn

Leaving aside orders being completed or under inquiry, 1,086 applications were delayed at 31st December 1965 because of shortage of exchange equipment. Service is being given or will be given shortly to about three-quarters of these applicants, and all the remainder should have service during this summer.
