asked the Postmaster-General if he is satisfied with the quality of the overseas telex service; and what steps he is taking to improve it.

Not altogether. The following measures to improve the service are in hand: more switchboards and circuits are being provided, recruitment is being stepped up, and direct dialling is being extended to other countries as quickly as possible. I expect the service to improve progresively as these measures take effect.
