§ 39. Mr. Bessellasked the President of the Board of Trade whether, in view of the hardship caused to inshore fishermen of this country by the free import of canned pilchards from South Africa and South-West Africa, he will now terminate the preferential advantages accorded to South Africa in respect of imported canned pilchards.
