Mr. Thorpeasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food whether, in the public interest and pursuant to his powers under the Agricultural Marketing Acts, he will take steps to ensure that the committee of investigation, shortly to investigate the manner in which contracts for the breaking out of second quality eggs were exclusively awarded to 12 firms in the United Kingdom, should hold all its inquiries in public.
