§ 121. Dame Irene Wardasked the Secretary of State for Commonwealth Relations what steps he has taken to give financial aid to West Samoa following the hurricane which caused damage estimated at £500,000.
§ Mr. BottomleyI have asked our High Commission in Wellington for his assessment and recommendations. He is at present awaiting a detailed account of damage and help required which is being prepared by the New Zealand Red Cross Commissioner who has flown to Western Samoa. As soon as his report is received we shall consider it carefully.
