§ Mr. Joplingasked the Minister of Transport what regulations she sets down for the minimum heights of newly-constructed bridges carrying minor roads over trunk roads or motorways, and also for bridges carrying these roads over minor roads; how long these regulations have been in force; and what other regulations on minimum heights have been in force during the last 10 years.
§ Mr. SwinglerBridges must normally provide a minimum headroom of 16 feet 6 inches over the carriageways of public roads. This was so in 1938 and has not since been changed.
