§ Mr. Harold Walkerasked the Minister of Transport (1) if she will give a general direction, in the public interest, to the British Railways Board, to take out insurance cover on behalf of the crews and passengers on pasenger trains carrying gold bullion, who may be injured in the event of an attempted robbery;
(2) if she will give a general direction, in the public interest, to the British Railways Board to cease their practice of carrying gold bullion by passenger train;
(3) if she will give a general direction, in the public interest, to the British Railways Board to pay additional remuneration to the crews of trains carrying gold bullion.
§ Mr. John MorrisThese are matters of management for the British Railways Board. A direction would not be appropriate.
