§ 73. Mr. George Jegerasked the Minister of Transport whether the survey of the routes for the proposed Humberside road improvements has now commenced; and when maps of the new routes will be available.
§ Mrs. CastleI propose that the new trunk road network for Humberside should be constructed as motorway. I will publish draft schemes under Section 11 of the Highways Act, 1959, for the whole network as soon as possible. A start on the necessary detailed survey work has been made but this cannot go ahead for the proposed east-west route pending a decision on the draft scheme for the final section of M.62 to which objections have been lodged.
