§ Mr. John MorrisA great deal of information on this subject has already been published; I would refer the hon. Member particularly to Chapter 6 of the Road Research Laboratory's book "Research on Road Safety" which contains a comprehensive survey of the effect of speed limits on accidents. The possibility of publishing a brief study of the most important material will, however, be considered.
§ Mr. Hector Hughesasked the Minister of Transport if she will state her plans for regulating the speeds of motorists on Great Britain's roads.
§ Mr. John MorrisThe Road Research Laboratory are giving special attention to this matter. It is also under consideration by the National Road Safety Advisory Council. We are not yet able to make a general statement about future plans.
