HC Deb 09 February 1966 vol 724 c110W
Mr. Brewis

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what advice he is giving to British citizens intending to visit holiday resorts on the Spanish Mediterranean coast in regard to radiation danger from the United States nuclear bomb recently located in those coastal waters.

Mr. Padley

I am advised that there is no indication whatever that the recent aircraft accident over the coast of Spain involving an unarmed nuclear device has resulted in any present or prospective risk to holiday makers on the neighbouring coast or sailing in nearby waters. British citizens who seek information will therefore be advised in these terms.
