HC Deb 09 February 1966 vol 724 c92W
144. Mr. William Clark

asked the Postmaster-General whether he is aware that there is local concern about the delayed delivery of mail in Nottingham, and that such delays do not only occur at Christmas time; and what action he is taking to improve the service.

Mr. Joseph Slater

The increase in parcel traffic and the diversion of some work to Nottingham to relieve London sorting offices unfortunately caused delay in delivery of some parcels at Nottingham towards the end of last year. I am glad to say that the service has now much improved.
