HC Deb 09 February 1966 vol 724 cc108-9W
Mr. Snow

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what was the number of new entrants to the register of dental schools for the years 1960 to 1965; and what is the anticipated number of entrants to be registered during the next four years.

Mr. Crosland

The number of dental students entering the pre-clinical year for the first time in October, 1965 was 740. No comparable series of figures of entry to dental schools is available for earlier years.

It is estimated that, on present building programmes, the number of entry places will have been increased to about 880 by 1969.
