HC Deb 09 February 1966 vol 724 c95W
Mr. Biggs-Davison

asked the Postmaster-General what was the result of his Department's survey of damage to telephone kiosks in the Chigwell urban district; and what counter-measures have been taken.

Mr. Joseph Slater

There were about 200 cases in 1965. Most kiosks were repaired very quickly or emergency facilities made available but there were a few cases of long delay in restoration because of a temporary shortage of replacement parts.

Measures are being stepped up to safeguard equipment and detect offenders.
