HC Deb 04 February 1966 vol 723 cc309-10W
Mr. Charles Morrison

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will give the present number of staff at each of the two new business schools at the universities of London and Manchester, indicating how many of them have first-hand experience as either students or teachers at a business school in the United States of America.

Mr. Prentice

My right hon. Friend is not responsible for the staffing of these schools. I understand that in making appointments to their staff weight is attached to knowledge of United States methods of business teaching, and that this is reflected in the appointments already made.

Mr. Charles Morrison

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science how many students there are at present at the business schools at the universities of London and Manchester.

Mr. Prentice

At Manchester, there are 15 post-experience and 15 post-graduate students. At London, the first 50 post-experience students begin a 12-week course on 7th February.
