§ 68. Mr. Burdenasked the Secretary of State for Defence whether it is the policy of Her Majesty's Government to transfer the pensions rights of ex-naval ratings to their widows on the death of the former; and when this policy will be carried out.
§ Mr. MayhewThe wives of naval ratings retired to pension on or after 1st September, 1950, are eligible for Service widows' pensions. If the husband died before 4th November, 1958, the award of a pension to his widow also depends on his length of service. The same arrangements apply to all three Services.
