HC Deb 02 February 1966 vol 723 c229W
97. Mr. Ridsdale

asked the Minister of Transport what is the reason for the delay in reaching a decision about zebra crossings in Clacton-on-Sea, about which the hon. Member for Harwich wrote to her Department on 22nd November.

Mr. John Morris

We had to obtain the views of the police and then to arrange a site inspection by representatives of the divisional road engineer, the police and the urban district council. They have recommended, following a meeting on 26th January, that crossings should be provided at three of the six sites. I will let the hon. Member have the details separately.
