§ 128 and 129. Mr. Arthur Pearsonasked the Secretary of State for Wales (1) whether the Wales Economic Planning Council will consider in its recommendations the establishment of an industrial estate under the administration of the Wales and Monmouthshire Industrial Estates Corporation Limited upon that area at Efail Isaf, Glamorganshire, allocated for industrial development in the Glamorgan County Study, as a means of providing adequate employment facilities in place of the declining coal industry and in view of the future expansion of the Llantrisant area as envisaged in the same study;
(2) if he will make a statement about Government action in the establishment of an industrial estate at Ynysmaerdy, Talbot Green, Glamorgan, as a means of meeting employment needs arising from redundancies resulting from the declining size of the coal industry.
§ Mr. James GriffithsThe development of industrial estates by the Industrial Estate Management Corporation for Wales is primarily a matter for my right hon. Friend the President of the Board of Trade, who takes full account of the views of the Welsh Economic Planning Council on the needs arising through redundancies in coal and other industries.
