HC Deb 02 February 1966 vol 723 c223W
69 and 70. Mr. Grimond

asked the Minister of Transport (1) if she will hold consultations with nationalised industries and business firms with a view to taking steps to reduce the number of cars provided for senior executives in central London;

(2) what steps she is taking to reduce the use of cars by Ministers and officials in central London.

Mrs. Castle

I do not consider special action in relation to particular categories of car justified at present. My right hon. Friend the Minister of Public Building and Works assures me that the Government car service is used only when needed for the efficient conduct of business.
