HC Deb 21 December 1966 vol 738 c337W
98. Mr. Dodds-Parker

asked the Minister of Transport why she agreed to the deferment of the station improvements at Lansdown station, at Cheltenham, when this scheme had not been included in the British Railways capital investment programme.

Mr. John Morris

The rebuilding of Lansdown Station, Cheltenham was in the Railways Board's 1967 capital investment programme but it had not been submitted for my right hon. Friend's approval before the Board decided to defer it. The detailed implementation of the investment cut is a matter for the Board who do not require her agreement to postpone individual projects.
