HC Deb 21 December 1966 vol 738 cc355-6W
Mr. Alan Williams

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether he has received the Report of the Monopolies Commission on the Supply of Aluminium Semi-Manufactures.

Mr. Jay

I received the report on 21st October and it was published this morning.

In the course of their investigation the existence came to light of an agreement registrable under the Restrictive Trade Practices Act, 1956. The agreement was subsequently registered with the Registrar of Restrictive Trading Agreements in September, 1966. It will now be for the Restrictive Practices Court to say whether or not the restrictive provisions are contrary to the public interest and the Commission have no further duty to perform.
