§ Mr. Will Owenasked the Minister of Labour why he made the Wholesale Mantle and Costume Wages Regulation Order No. 1495, granting extra annual holidays for the year 1966, to be taken up to April 1967, which is contrary to paragraph 23 of the Prices and Incomes Standstill Command Paper No. 3073; and whether he will make a statement.
§ Mrs. Shirley WilliamsAll Wages Council proposals adopted before 20th July but not by that date embodied in Wages Regulation Orders were postponed in accordance with the White Paper (Cmnd. 3073) as existing commitments. All such proposals are being made effective from 1st January, 1967 by Wages Regulation Orders, of which this is one.
