§ Mr. Dalyellasked the First Secretary of State and Secretary of State for Economic Affairs what study he is making of the effect of the proposed South Hampshire conurbation on the regional development policies of the Government.
§ Mr. William RodgersThe Buchanan Report on the feasibility of large-scale 223W urban development in South Hampshire is being studied by my right hon. Friend the Minister of Housing and Local Government taking into account the views of the South East and South West Economic Planning Councils and other bodies concerned. The effect of such development on the Government's regional development policies will be one of the factors to be assessed before a decision is reached.
