§ 52. Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he is aware that on Wednesday, 135W 7th December, at or around 2.15 p.m., there were parked in Caledonian Road, N.7, 34 vehicles not showing a current road fund licence; why the police constable who was walking along Caledonian Road from north to south at this time did not take action to report all of these vehicles; how many he reported; and whether he will make a statement.
§ Mr. Roy JenkinsThe Commissioner of Police informs we that because of the many other duties that they had to attend to that day, none of the police officers who at the material time were patrolling beats that included parts of the Caledonian Road, N.7, submitted reports of apparently unlicensed vehicles. 47 vehicles have been so reported from the road during the past six months.
