HC Deb 05 December 1966 vol 737 cc178-9W
65. Mr. Worsley

asked the Minister of Health what representations he has received from the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea about the use of the Victoria Hospital site, Tite Street, Chelsea; and what reply he has sent.

Mr. Loughlin

The council suggested that the site should continue to be used for a purpose of direct benefit to residents of the borough.

They have been informed that the site has been offered to a convent, which will be displaced by the proposed Chelsea Postgraduate Medical Centre. The convent's activities are closely linked with the community of the borough and include provision of welfare accommodation for the elderly.
