§ 75. Mrs. Joyce Butlerasked the Minister of Labour if he will initiate an urgent study of all industries in which asbestos is used, with a view to formulating new safety regulations to minimise the risk to workers in such industries of contracting mesothelioma.
§ Mr. GunterI am revising the Asbestos Industry Regulations, 1931, and intend broadly to extend their application to all industries and processes in which asbestos is used. The precautions necessary to minimise the risk of mesothelioma are also being studied.
