asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they will state which countries have ratified Parts II and III respectively of International Labour Conference Convention No. 96 relating to Fee-Charging Employment Agencies.

LORD CHAMPION

International Labour Convention No. 96 concerning Fee-Charging Employment Agencies has been ratified by 28 countries. Of these, the following countries have accepted the provisions of Part II (progressive abolition):

  • Algeria,
  • Belgium,
  • Bolivia,
  • Brazil,
  • Costa Rica,
  • Cuba,
  • 890
  • Finland,
  • France,
  • Federal Republic of Germany,
  • Gabon,
  • Guatemala,
  • Italy,
  • Ivory Coast,
  • Libya,
  • Luxembourg,
  • Mauritania,
  • Netherlands,
  • Norway,
  • Pakistan,
  • Poland,
  • Sweden,
  • Syrian Arab Republic,
  • United Arab Republic.

The following countries have accepted the provisions of Part III (regulation):

  • Ceylon,
  • Israel,
  • Japan,
  • Senegal,
  • Turkey.
