HC Deb 12 August 1966 vol 733 c475W
Mr. Elystan Morgan

asked the Secretary of State for Wales what were the acreages of mature and semi-mature trees, respectively, in the Forestry Commission's plantations in Wales at the end of 1965; and what acreages are expected in these categories by the end of 1970.

Mr. George Thomas

At the end of 1965 about 600 acres and 65,000 acres of the Commission's plantations in Wales were mature and semi-mature, respectively.

By the end of 1970 the corresponding figures will be about 700 acres and 80,000 acres.
