§ Mr. Harry Howarthasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government what reply he has sent to the Urban District Councils Association's representations for an amendment to the Town and Country Planning (Use Classes) Order 1963, to make it necessary for planning approval to be obtained before an existing retail shop is converted for use as a snack bar or cafe.
§ Mr. MacCollMy right hon. Friend has told the Association that he does not think further discussions with them would prove useful unless they have fresh evidence to support their proposal. Their arguments were considered in detail on an earlier occasion and a full reply was then sent.
