§ Mr. Thorpeasked the President of the Board of Trade whether he will now set up an inquiry under the Merchant Shipping Act 1894 to examine existing licensing procedure and its enforcement in respect of pleasure boats, whether carrying more or less than 12 passengers, with power to recommend whether and if so what amendments should be made to the present law.
§ Mr. JayI would prefer to await first the conclusions of the inquiries to be held into the accidents to the "Darlwin" and the "Prince of Wales".
