§ Mr. Lomasasked the President of the Board of Trade whether he will consider introducing amending legislation allowing him to direct a company to change its name after the six-month statutory limit when it is obvious the title of the company was based on an erroneous judgment.
§ Mr. JayI will consider this proposal when the time comes to propose amendments to Section 18 of the Companies Act, 1948, but it is not my intention to propose amendments to that Section in the Companies Bill which I hope to introduce in this Session.
