§ Mr. Ernest Armstrongasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether Her Majesty's Government propose to make a special grant to the Government of St. Lucia towards the budget deficit incurred in the last year in which the territory was in receipt of budgetary aid from Her Majesty's Government.
§ Mr. StonehouseYes. The outturn for that year showed a budget deficit of $WI.238,000, and Her Majesty's Government has agreed, subject to Parliamentary approval, to make a grant of that amount to the St. Lucia Government. An advance is being obtained from the Civil Contingencies Fund pending submission of the necessary supplementary estimate.
