§ 101. Mr. Hector Hughesasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will make a statement on the number of forged Scottish five pound notes, indicating what steps he is taking to trace and penalise the forger and to compensate those suffering loss thereby.
§ Mr. RossI have no means of finding out the number of these forged banknotes which have been printed or are in circulation. With regard to the other parts of the Question I would refer my hon. and learned Friend to the reply I gave him to a similar Question yesterday.
