asked Her Majesty's Government: Whether they will issue a statement to resolve the confusion arising out of the various rumours that have arisen relating to their proposals to alter the regulations governing pilots' permitted flying duty periods.

The Civil Aviation Department of the Board of Trade has been reviewing the current legislation on this subject, and detailed proposals for amending the legislation will be circulated on August 15 for comment by all interested parties.
