§ Mr. Heathasked the Prime Minister whether it is proposed that gifts should be presented by the Government and by this House to mark Lesotho's attainment of independence on 4th October.
§ The Prime MinisterThe whole House will, I feel sure, wish to send warm congratulations to Lesotho on her Independence, together with best wishes for the happiness and prosperity of her people. Her Majesty's Government will propose 317W later that this House should offer a gift to the National Assembly of Lesotho. Her Majesty's Government for their part have decided to offer a suitable gift to the Government of Lesotho to mark this happy occasion.
