§ 56. Mr. Dodds-Parkerasked the Minister of Power if he will give a general direction, in the public interest, to the nationalised gas and electricity industries not to encourage their sales staff to urge the public to buy new equipment on hire purchase.
§ Dr. BrayNo. The nationalised industries have already been asked to exercise the same degree of restraint as the banks and other financial institutions in the provision of hire-purchase finance.
