§ Mr. David Mitchellasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government when he will list the projects which have been postponed or cut as a result of the saving of £28 million announced in respect of local government in England.
§ Mr. MacCollMy right hon. Friends the Secretary of State for Wales and the Minister of Housing and Local Government will control the grant of loan sanction nationally so as to produce the saving overall of £28 million in 1967–68, but it will be for local authorities in the first instance to review all their schemes, whether known to our Departments or not in the light of my right hon. Friend the Prime Minister's statement of 20th July and the guidance shortly to be issued.212W It will therefore not be possible to list individual postponed or cancelled projects making up this total.
