HC Deb 04 August 1966 vol 733 c157W
49. Mr. Chichester-Clark

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies what action he is taking on the final report of the Hong Kong Salaries Commission.

Mr. Stonehouse

The Commission reported to the Hong Kong Government which have already implemented the greater part of its recommendations. This has led to a general increase of 16 per cent. in salaries as from 1st April, 1965. Certain other recommendations are still being considered by the Hong Kong Government, some involving consultation with Staff Associations.
