§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the First Secretary of State and Secretary of State for Economic Affairs whether he will give an estimate of the first year's costs of operating the proposals in the White Paper on Prices and Incomes and those in the Prices and Incomes Bill, taking into consideration the new staffs to be employed, their offices, publicity, printing and all expenses and costs allied to these proposals.
§ Mr. William RodgersI expect some increase in costs above the figures shown in Paragraph 29 of the Explanatory and Financial Memorandum on the Prices and Incomes Bill. But it is too soon to make a revised estimate.
