HC Deb 04 August 1966 vol 733 cc191-2W
Mr. Clark Hutchison

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if the pensions of local government officers in Scotland will be affected by the wage standstill in those cases where officers are within three years of retirement and their superannuation allowances are calculated on a fraction the numerator of which consists of the number of years' service multiplied by the average remuneration in the three years before retirement; and if adjustments will be made to meet these cases.

Mr. Ross

Under the regulations made under the Local Government (Scotland) Superannuation Acts, pensions depend on the actual pay received during the last years of service. I have no plans to amend the regulations.
