§ Mr. CroslandIn the financial year 1965–66 the Central Office of Information spent £95,890 on behalf of the Department in Press advertisements to further the campaign for the recruitment of teachers. The Department spent from its own Vote £3,785 in advertising for staff. The estimate for the current financial year for expenditure by C.O.I. is £103,500 covering advertisements in connection with the recruitment of teachers, the Advisory Service on Full Time Degree and Diploma Courses in Further Education, and the Pension Scheme for Teachers' Dependants. Approximately the same amount as last year will be spent by the Department in advertising for staff.
