HC Deb 04 August 1966 vol 733 c179W
Mr. Clark Hutchison

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer, in view of the Government's present policies, if he proposes to reduce the grants to the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association and the Inter-Parliamentary Union.

Mr. Callaghan

I propose to ask these organisations to exercise the greatest economy, particularly as regards expenditure involving foreign exchange, during the remainder of 1966–67. The level of grants-in-aid in future years will be reviewed in the autumn as part of the Estimates exercise.
