HC Deb 03 August 1966 vol 733 c130W
111. Sir E. Errington

asked the Postmaster-General whether he is aware that letters posted in Liverpool before 5.45 p.m. do not reach the House of Commons on the following morning, and that on occasions there have been 24 hours' delay before delivery; and whether he will take steps to ensure in future that letters so posted will be at the House of Commons by the first delivery on the morning following dispatch.

Mr. Joseph Slater

These letters should be delivered at the House of Commons by first delivery on the next weekday after posting and we are doing all we can to ensure that this service is regularly given. I am sorry that there have been occasional delays.
