HC Deb 03 August 1966 vol 733 cc133-5W
Sir Knox Cunningham

asked the Postmaster-General if he will state the latest times of collection from postal boxes on Saturdays, and on Sundays, in rural and in urban areas in the constituencies of Antrim, South, and Orpington, respectively, at both the present date and five years ago, respectively.

Mr. Joseph Slater

The following is the information for which the hon. and learned Gentleman asks:

Mr. Edward M. Taylor

asked the First Secretary of State and Secretary of State for Economic Affairs what information he has regarding the increased prices being charged for spirits, beer and soft drinks in licensed premises in Scotland following the recent increases in tax; and whether he will refer the increases to the National Board for Prices and Incomes.

Mr. Peart

I have been asked to reply. I have no detailed information about the increased prices being charged for spirits, beers and soft drinks in licensed premises in Scotland or elsewhere, following the recent tax increases, but I am making inquiries. I will then consider whether the increases are justified and, if not, what action might be appropriate to deal with the situation.
