§ Mr. Hector Hughesasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will make a statement on the scope and result of the investigation recently undertaken 136W by him in conjunction with the Hydrographer of the Navy, and the South African Government for the purpose of investigating fish stocks in waters alternative to those surrounding Great Britain and the North Atlantic in order to make up for the depletion by foreign fishing fleets in Great Britain's traditional fishing grounds.
§ Mr. HoyThe investigation has been into the size and distribution of the fish stocks and the hydrographic background of the fishery. The data obtained are still being analysed.
